Casa Blanca make-up party goes Perdis
by Elise Esprit
Napoleon Perdis make-up anybody?
Casa Blanca Salon and Spa at 16081 San Dieguito Road hosted a party on Sept. 6 celebrating its selection as first San Diego company to carry the fashionable Perdis make-up line.
Perdis, Australia's leading makeup artist, is known for translating runway make-up into reality and bringing out the celebrity in each individual. The company has 52 stand-alone concept stores in more than 600 point-of-sale locations across Australia and New Zealand and select locations within the United States.
The top three L.A. make-up artists from the Hollywood Napoleon Perdis Academy came to Casa Blanca to perform mini makeovers. Refreshments included Chuao Chocolatier chocolates and sushi by Sushi on a Roll.
Multi-instrument musician Ean Corbet provided live entertainment. An Opportunity Drawing featured Perdis make-up, a Casa Blanca gift basket with spa discount card and the chance to win a magnificent 24-inch-by-inch acrylic painting valued at $1,200, "Golden Butterfly" by Studio Deeba.
Casa Blanca commissioned the painting for this event reflecting Napoleon's admiration and use of butterfly's in his corporate philosophy: "The butterfly symbolizes the choice of color and the freedom to discover yourself through experimentation."
In keeping with the tradition of all Casa Blanca's prior events, a philanthropic component of 20 percent of all net make-up sales from the event were donated to the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation Casa Blanca PC Pals Fund benefiting Rady Children's Hospital, which provides laptop computer systems to seriously ill children undergoing medical treatments.
