Dreams Really Do Come True

Fun, fashion and beauty converged at the Casa Blanca Salon and Spa in Rancho Santa Fe, California, for a fundraising event to benefit Rady Children’s Hospital in nearby San Diego. The gala raised more than $10,000 to purchase two PC Pals for the hospital. As part of a charitable program by Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, PC Pals provide hospital-bound children with a variety of entertaining and educational software and access to Starbright World, an online community for seriously ill teens.

The festivities included a lingerie and loungewear fashion show featuring Los Angeles fashion designer Wendy Glez’s 2007 spring line, along with the 2007 spring collection of jewelry from Beverly Hills designer Lisa Stewart. Interactive product displays included an Oxygen Bar that highlighted the Oxygenating skincare line, and a Champagne Station that featured Pevonia Botanica’s Pearl and Caviar skincare lines. One hundred percent of the live and silent auctions’ net proceeds were donated to the cause.

The innovative event coincided with the launch of Casa Blanca’s newly designed website, CasaBlancaSalonSpa.com, which donated 20% of all net proceeds from their boutique, Shop CB Online, during the event. The online fundraising component was so popular that it was extended through the end of May to reach the goal of an additional $5,000 to fund the purchase of a third PC Pal.
